Intro to Weaving Class
In this class we’ll learn basic terms, techniques, materials, and finish one basket using round reed. You will finish a basket in this class. The classroom space in located inside my Ag building here on the farm. I do not offer refunds as I have to get the materials either way, but if you do need to cancel, I welcome you to attend another class at a later date. It’s recommended that participants have good hand dexterity and strength. Weaving material is used wet, so a towel for your lap is recommended and rain pants are even better. This class is required for the more advanced classes that will be offered later, such as cedar fedoras, bear grass braiding, cedar and maple skirts and capes, overlay, cooking baskets, baby baskets, using Doug Fir/Spruce roots/fern in basketry.
